This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 28

5:37 p.m.: Kendra Chase, 35, of the 300 block of Buckner Court, was arrested after officers responded to East Pettis Street and North Mill Street in reference to a domestic assault. An officer spoke with the reporting party, who stated a woman known to him was following him in a van as he was walking down the sidewalk and threw a folder out the window, striking him in the head. Chase was arrested for fourth-degree domestic assault and driving with a suspended driver's license. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. 

10:02 p.m.: Holly B. Douglas, 44, of the 1200 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested after being observed leaving the left side of the roadway, striking a No Parking sign, and then driving off on South Limit Avenue. A traffic stop at East 11th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue found the driver to be intoxicated. Douglas was transported to the police department and then the Pettis County Jail. She was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. 

Incidents

Sept. 28

1:42 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of a hit-and-run accident. The victim stated while she was at work, someone struck the passenger side of her vehicle. 

Sept. 29 

9:19 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at East 16th Street and South Brown Avenue. The reporting party said the driver of the other vehicle failed to stop and identify herself. An accident report was completed.

11:03 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Seventh Street in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated her son’s live-in friend stole approximately $700 in change, a PlayStation 4, a PlayStation 2, and five PlayStation controllers. The victims are willing to cooperate with prosecution. 

Sept. 30

4:13 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of South Stewart Avenue in reference to an out-of-control juvenile. A juvenile referral was made at the request of the parents.

Sept. 29

5:07 p.m.: Davis P. Miller, 40, of Boonville, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
