This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 17

8:50 p.m.: Brandon E. Johnson, 38, 1600 block of East Eighth Street, and Tina M. Blunkall, 43, of Springfield, were arrested after officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft in progress. Officers made contact with two suspects who attempted to steal items from the store. Both were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where they were placed on 24-hour holds pending charges of shoplifting, drug possession - other dangerous drugs, and burglary. Blunkall was also charged with resisting arrest. 

Incidents

Oct. 14

5:15 p.m.: Nadeline Meseky, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers responded to the 1000 block of State Fair Boulevard for a disturbance. One of the officers saw the suspect vehicle leaving the scene and made contact with the vehicle and the occupants. A check showed the driver's license status was revoked and she was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Oct. 18

7:04 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Stewart Avenue to take a missing person report. At approximately 8:10 p.m. the individual was located safe.

7:39 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of South Stewart Avenue for a report of a theft. The victim reported that sometime during the night their vehicle had been gone through and items were stolen.

9:18 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1100 block of East 13th Street in reference to a theft. The victim stated she was scammed out of $670 with various gift cards by messages.

9:26 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Stewart Avenue for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with an individual who was later transported to the hospital for medical care.

Oct. 18

6:09 p.m.: Christopher W, Higbee, 37, of Columbia, was arrested in Saline County for felony driving with a revoked/suspended license. He was released.
