This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Sedalia Police Department

Arrests

Oct. 20

7:29 p.m.: Officers located a stolen vehicle in the 3400 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop which led to a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit was terminated at city limits at Oak Grove Lane. Through an investigation, the suspect was identified and located in the same block. The stolen vehicle was recovered and towed. Brenden M. Price, 22, of the 24500 block of Oak Grove Lane, was arrested for first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and felony resisting arrest.

8:37 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Boonville Street in reference to a harassment and property damage report. Officers located the suspect nearby where she was arrested. The suspect spit at officers while being placed in handcuffs. Samantha L. Kinner, 35, of the 300 block of North Heard Avenue, was arrested for harassment to frighten or disturb another person, second-degree property damage, and misdemeanor fourth-degree assault.

Incidents

Oct. 19

6:30 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue in reference to a theft. Officers were told between April and September, a black Marshall 100 power amplifier, valued at $1,500, had been taken from the residence.

Oct. 20

9:34 a.m.: An officer responded to the 2500 block of South Bristol Lane in regards to a found baggie of a white crystalline substance which was taken to the police department for destruction.

9:46 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of West Fourth Street for a report of property damage. The complainant reported a Democratic campaign sign, which was defaced, was being sold on Facebook.

1:39 p.m.: An officer responded to the 1600 block of South Sneed Avenue in regards to a sex crime investigation. The individual was referred to Child Safe of Central Missouri for an interview. The investigation is ongoing.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

Oct. 20

9:07 a.m.: Deputies arrested Wayne A. Gravitt at the Pettis County Courthouse for driving with a revoked license.

Incidents

Oct. 20

7:31 p.m.: Deputies assisted the Sedalia Police Department in locating and recovering a stolen vehicle out of Warsaw in the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane. The vehicle was located and recovered.

Arrests

Oct. 20

11:39 p.m.: Deborah L. Slinkard, 63, of Holden, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a crash and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Oct. 21

1:45 a.m.: Kati N. Kelly, 32, of Warrensburg, was arrested in Johnson County for assault on a law enforcement officer, driving while intoxicated, resisting or opposing a member of the patrol and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
