This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Aug. 31

8:56 a.m.: Tatiana M. Zalozh, 44, of the 1400 block of Airport Road, was arrested after officers responded to a vehicle accident near East Broadway Boulevard and South Harding Avenue. It was discovered the driver of one of the vehicles had a suspended license. She was transported to the SPD, fingerprinted, and issued traffic citations for driving while suspended and failure to provide proof of insurance. She was then released.

Sept. 1

12:22 a.m.: Lynn Kristine Nielson, 51, of Green Ridge, was arrested after a traffic stop near Dundee Avenue and Liberty Park Boulevard for expired plates. The driver was suspended out of Missouri and was placed under arrest, transported to the SPD, and issued municipal citations for driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance, and expired vehicle registration. 

Incidents

Aug. 31

7:24 p.m.: An officer took a report of property damage in the 1900 block of South Prospect Avenue. Damage to a door handle and latch outside the building was observed.

10:43 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Missouri Avenue for a report of a domestic disturbance. The caller stated her juvenile child had their phone taken away and then attempted to get the phone back by twisting her arm. A juvenile referral has been completed for domestic assault.

Incidents

Aug. 27

5 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Villa Drive for an assault report. The victim stated he was assaulted by a juvenile male in the 1200 block of Elm Hills Boulevard. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for care and later released. At the time of this report, there is no suspect information.

Arrests

Aug. 31

4 p.m.: Ricardo Ramirez Ramos, 33, of Knob Noster, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, no valid operator's license, careless and imprudent driving, and first-degree sexual misconduct. He was transported to Johnson County Jail and placed on a 12-hour hold.

9:04 p.m.: Raekwon K. Jackson, 23, of Columbia, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of marijuana more than 35 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released.

10:51 p.m.: Cory L. Roam, 43, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was released on summons.
