This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 16

7:05 p.m.: Tammy Jo DeSpain, 50, of the 400 block of East Harvey Street, was arrested after officers conducted a subject check. Multiple subjects were contacted. John Williams Bryant, 48,  had an active warrant and was arrested. DeSpain was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and was also arrested. 

Sept. 21

1:33 p.m.: Jordan S. Mosley, 20, of the 400 block of South New York Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop for expired registration near West Main Street and Winchester Drive. He was issued a City ticket for driving with a revoked license and released. 

Incidents

Sept. 20

12:48 p.m.: Kenneth Thomas Yocum, 53, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Clinton Road and Driftwood Drive for a license violation. A large amount of methamphetamine and other items indicative of drug sales were located in the vehicle. Jeannie Marie Davidson, 46, of Centertown, was also arrested. Both occupants were charged with first-degree trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Sept. 22

12:36 p.m.: The SPD responded to reported vandalism in the 500 block of North Osage Avenue. Victims stated someone slashed the tires on their vehicles overnight.

6:23 p.m.: Officers responded to the 100 block of East Morgan Street for a report of a home invasion. The caller reported that her landlord walked into her residence without any announcement. The victim wanted to pursue a charge of trespassing. The charge is being referred to the Pettis County prosecutor.

Arrests

Sept. 22

1:55 p.m.: Keith B Goodwin, 42, of Grandview, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance – THC and possession of marijuana less than 10 grams. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
