This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Sept. 23

6:58 a.m.: Jacob Colton Astor, 30, of the 1000 block of West Fourth Street, and Holden Boyd Browning, 31, of the 1000 block of West Fourth Street, were arrested after a no-knock raid by the Crime Resolution Unit assisted by the Tactical Entry Unit. During a search of the residence, items related to drug activity were found, which included methamphetamine, marijuana drug paraphernalia, and drug packaging items. Two individuals were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where they were placed on 24-hour holds pending formal charges of distribution of drugs, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

4:33 p.m.: Nickie E. Smith, 35, of the 1400 block of East Sixth Street, was issued a summons after officers were dispatched in reference to a disturbance. Officers were told a female subject was assaulted by a woman known to her who was intoxicated. Officers located the intoxicated female and she was issued a municipal summons for assault. 

Sept. 27

9:06 a.m.: Lori Lynn Hadley, 49, of the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a subject who was trespassing. The suspect was located in the liquor aisle and placed under arrest. Marijuana was also located in the suspect's purse. The suspect was booked and released pending the filing of state charges of first-degree trespassing and possession of marijuana. 

9:05 p.m.: Summer Joy Tester, 42, of the 1100 block of East 10th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near Madison Avenue and Broadway Boulevard for failing to stop at a stop sign and expired plates. It was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. She was placed under arrest and transported to the hospital then the Pettis County Jail, for driving while intoxicated - drugs, failing to stop at a stop sign, no proof of insurance, and expired registration. 

Incidents

Sept. 27

9:11 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of East 18th Street for a property damage report. The caller stated someone drove into his garage. A driver condition report was completed and sent to the Department of Revenue on the caller's request. 

11:53 p.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of West 24th Street in reference to a possible break-in. The caller reported that his shed was broken into overnight. No items were believed to have been taken from the residence and a report was made to document the incident.

Sept. 28

3:18 a.m.: Officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle failed to stop at two additional stop signs and traffic stop was conducted. The driver consented to a search of his person and vehicle and after searching the vehicle a small amount of marijuana was located and seized for destruction. The driver was released from the scene.

Sept. 27

6:37 p.m.: Sara H. Ngo Bikai, 20, of Whiteman Air Force Base, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated by alcohol, minor visibly intoxicated, and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.
