Arrests

Oct. 19

2:12 a.m.: Officers responded to the 700 block of West 16th Street for a subject sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with the engine running. The suspect was contacted and determined to be intoxicated and in the possession of marijuana. Sterling S.R. Fitts, 25, of the 1300 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

Oct. 21

10:29 a.m.: An officer observed a vehicle with no plates and initiated a traffic stop in the 600 block of West 24th Street. The driver was found to have a revoked license and three warrants. Ahmad J. Dupree, 28, was arrested for the warrants and driving with a revoked license.

6:45 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to check on an individual in the roadway who was yelling at vehicles near West 16th Street and South Warren Avenue. The subject was located and contacted. Ryan E. Moore, 28, of the 1600 block of West 16th Street, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

Oct. 18

5:16 p.m.: Deputies took a report for a theft of a large campaign sign which was posted at state Route M and state Route V. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
