Dorothy Poort, of Sedalia will celebrate her 85th birthday on Nov. 6, with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at County Distributing, 1800 Eagle Drive in Sedalia.
Dorothy has lived a full life. She married the late Robert Poort on Dec. 4, 1955, and raised five children. She has 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, as well as traveling, and volunteering at the hospital. She was recently named volunteer of the year.
