Sacred Heart inducts Honor Society members

The Sacred Heart School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and National Honor Society (NHS) recently hosted a joint ceremony to induct 53 new members. 

The ceremony, hosted at Sacred Heart Chapel, inducted 22 sixth- through eighth-grade students into NJHS and 31 ninth- through 12th-grade students into NHS. 

Inductees were selected on the basis of service, leadership, citizenship, and character. Inductees must have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Including the newly inducted class, 34 students are members of NJHS and 56 students are part of NHS at Sacred Heart School. 

The purpose of NJHS and NHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership and good citizenship, and develop character in the students of Sacred Heart School. 

Current Senior Inductees: Adelynn Hunsaker, Kaytlin Kempf, Lucas Martin, John Ulbrich.

Incoming Senior Inductee: Alexandria Finney. 

Incoming Junior Inductees: Miguel Alejo, Stephen Belles, Cade Brown, Kate Carney, Caitlin Carrico, Alexis Chappell, Laura Granados, Michael Marquez, Jordan Hill, Mariana Restrepo, Emma Siron, Elijah Smeltzer, Abby Tippie, Jaden Velado, Osvaldo Martinez-Garcia. 

Incoming Sophomore Inductees: Spencer Aeschbacher, Samantha Altena, Ellie Coruna, Brooke Epple, Ximena Lopez, Jackson Manning, Jack Schroeder, Reuben Smith, Shea Smith, Mariah Van Leer.

Incoming Freshmen Inductee: Riley Bradley.

Incoming eighth-grade Inductees: Cassidy Bentch, Ebrinn Cahill, Delaney Grose, Logan Howell, Emilee Jackson, Thomas Jenkins, Austin Perez, James Russell, Anthony Sierra, Max Van Leer, David Gutierrez Talamantes.

Incoming seventh-grade Inductees: Emily Alvarado-Ruiz, Kieran Cahill, Paisley Carl, Kingston Castanedo, Juliet Conant, Lauren Diller, Kyler Downing, Katherine Kehl, Kynslee Prewitt, Rylie Schlarb, Jacob Velando.
