The Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival celebrates local music and the legacy of Scott Joplin this week on June 2-4.
There will be free “Happy Hour” concerts at 5:30 p.m. each night at the Stark Tent at East Fifth Street and South Ohio Avenue. Alcohol will be available for purchase.
Thursday will feature Jake Reno; Friday the band Twisted Fate; and Saturday Jah Lion.
Also on Saturday there will be an Artists Gathering at 7:30 p.m. at the new Pavilion, 200 S. Ohio Ave. The Artists Gathering is an "open mic" for local musicians, rappers, and poets.
