During the week of Aug. 22-28, there were 116 new cases of COVID-19 reported to the Pettis County Health Center. Last week there were 128.
There is one individual hospitalized at Bothwell Regional Health Center as compared to four last week.
The vaccine is available for everyone 6 months of age and older. The Pettis County Health Center has the newest vaccine for children starting at 6 months of age.
Due to the more contagious omicron variants, a second booster dose is strongly recommended for anyone 50 years of age or older or those with conditions that compromise the immune system four months after the first booster.
