A suspect is dead while a trooper suffered minor injuries following an officer-involved shooting Tuesday, June 17 in Saline County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident took place near 115th Road and Belmont Avenue in Sweet Springs.

At approximately 6:17 p.m. the Concordia Police Department alerted the MSHP that it was in pursuit of a motorcycle being driven by a suspect wanted for an out of state homicide.
