Thirty-two area basketball teams will gather in Sedalia to play 16 games over the course of the next week.
The 23rd annual W-K Shootout is set to being at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the campus of State Fair Community College. Norborne and Chilhowee girls will tip off the games followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
Action will resume at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, when the Cole Camp girls take on St. Paul Lutheran Concordia. Cole Camp boys will play St. Paul Lutheran at noon.
Warsaw girls will face Santa Fe at 1:30 p.m. and will be followed by the boys at 3 p.m.
The La Monte and Windsor girls square off at 4:30 p.m. before the Kingsville and Sacred Heart boys take the court at 6 p.m.
Smith-Cotton girls will face Eldon at 7:30 p.m.
Then, Smith-Cotton boys will play Summit Christian Academy at 9 p.m. to cap off the night.
After Christmas break, play will resume at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, with the Green Ridge girls taking on Appleton City. The boys game will follow at noon.
Northwest girls and Bunceton with Otterville face off at 1:30 p.m. before the boys game at 3 p.m.
Lincoln and Concordia girls take each other on at 4:30 p.m.
Lincoln and Concordia boys then play at 6 p.m. for the final game of the Shootout.
The admission price for the event is $8 per day for adults, while kids 12 and under are admitted free.
