The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce Governmental Relations Committee is hosting a candidate forum at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the American Legion Matthews-Crawford Post 131, 733 E. Young Ave. in Warrensburg.
The forum is for the Missouri State Representative District 57 and Johnson County Presiding Commissioner seats. Candidates running for U.S. Senator, State Auditor, U.S. Representative District 4, and those who are unopposed have also been invited to speak. There will be an opportunity to hear about the constitutional amendments and proposed tax increase on the Nov. 8 ballot.
The public is invited to attend and guests are invited to meet the candidates after the program.
The Warrensburg Star-Journal will live-stream the forum on its Facebook page. The forum will be recorded and released for viewing before the election as a link to the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page. It will also be on www.warrensburg.org within the week.
