John E. Sartain, 68, of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday in a Pettis County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Austin E. Lewis, 59, of Sedalia, was driving east on Anderson School Road at U.S. Highway 65 in a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 when he entered the path of Sartain’s 2004 Crown Victoria headed north. The Sierra struck the Crown Victoria in the driver's side and after impact, both vehicles traveled off the east side of the road.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Sartain was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District.
