This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 28

2:12 a.m.: Rado Ervene Vincent III, 54, of Mora, was arrested after a vehicle stopped near East Broadway Boulevard and Highway M for swerving outside his lane and improper registration. The driver was intoxicated and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on a state charge of driving while intoxicated.

April 29

1:38 a.m.: Cornelio Nunez, 18, of the 4200 block of West Main Street, was arrested after an officer responded to the 2400 block of West Main Street for a vehicle crash. A vehicle had struck a utility pole. Nunez was transported to the Pettis County Jail for driving while intoxicated, pending release to a sober person.

Incidents

April 23

11:04 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue for a report of property damage. They arrived on scene, documented the property damage and gathered information from the victim for a report.

April 26

11:11 a.m.: Officers were dispatched for a report of lost or stolen property from the back of a vehicle in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The victim was contacted by phone at their request. Information was obtained from the victim and a report was completed.

10:13 p.m.: A vehicle accident was reported at East Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue. One driver left the scene. A report was completed.

April 27

10:22 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of fraud from the previous evening. They arrived on scene, gathered information and evidence and a report was completed.

11:27 a.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1500 block of Stone Creek Drive regarding a possible theft. The reporting party stated they did not notice anything missing from their unit but noticed the unit was unlocked again. Officers gathered information to create a report.

1:15 p.m.: Officers responded to a reported theft in the 1600 block of West Broadway Boulevard. They arrived on scene and gathered information for a report.

4:16 p.m.: Officers responded to the intersection of West 11th Street and South Stewart Avenue regarding an accident. The accident had occurred earlier in the day and both parties had exchanged information and left the scene. Both parties reported the incident to law enforcement and a report was taken.

8:58 p.m.: A report was taken in the police department lobby concerning a forgery that occurred at a bank in the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The victim reported information on a potential suspect.

10:38 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Merriam Avenue regarding property damage. The reporting party had a back vehicle window broken. Officers were unable to identify what broke the window. There are no suspects.

April 28

10:57 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a fire in a residence in the 800 block of East 13th Street. The fire was extinguished by the Sedalia Fire Department.

12:07 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the SPD lobby for a report of harassment that took place in the 2800 block of South Washington Avenue.

6:10 p.m.: Officers took a stolen vehicle theft report in the 300 block of West Fourth Street. The victim reported using his vehicle earlier in the day, but when he walked out of his house in the evening, the car was missing. The investigation is ongoing.

7:38 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Stewart Avenue regarding a property damage report. A two-car garage on the property was damaged. Information was gathered for a report.

April 29

12:30 a.m.: A traffic stop was conducted on West Broadway Boulevard near Oak Grove Lane. During the stop, the license plates on the vehicle were seized as they had been altered to appear in-date. The vehicle and occupants were released from the scene. No charge is being sought in relation to the license plates.

April 27

12:09 a.m.: Vincent M. Vilott, 24, of Shawnee, Kansas, was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.

11:52 p.m.: Isidro Alejo, 44, of La Monte, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated - persistent offender. He was released.
