This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Oct. 28

1:07 a.m.: Tabor Jahrie Redford, 34, of the 2800 block of Brandon Avenue, was arrested after a vehicle stop at West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue for disobeying a red light and failure to maintain a lane. Redford was intoxicated. He was transported to the Sedalia Police Department for driving while intoxicated, processed and released to a sober person.

Nov. 1

7:58 p.m.: Lacey Victoria Dia Rockhold, 29, of the 1000 block of Royal Boulevard, was arrested after officers conducted checks for sex offender compliance. Rockhold was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked for failure to comply with Halloween restrictions.

10:06 p.m.: Melissa Sue Reyburn, 37, of Warrensburg, was arrested after an intoxicated driver was reported at a business on South Limit Avenue. Reyburn was intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, processed, and released to a sober driver.

Oct. 29

5:05 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a physical disturbance in the 100 block of East 13th Street. The suspect had fled the scene, but information was gathered from victims and witnesses and a report was completed. Charges were submitted to the prosecutor's office.

Oct. 31

7:19 p.m.: Officers conducted compliance checks of the City's sex offenders related to Halloween restrictions. When this was attempted in the 2000 block of South Ohio Avenue, the offender failed to answer the door for law enforcement and there were no signs of movement from inside the home indicating they weren't home. Officers also observed outside string lights outlining the area of the covered porch. A charge of failing to comply with Halloween restrictions are being requested.

7:45 p.m.: Officers doing compliance checks on local sex offenders to ensure they were abiding by Halloween restrictions, including remaining inside their home, answering when law enforcement arrives for a compliance check and having a sign on the door announcing there is no candy at the address. The offender in the 200 block of West 11th Street did not have a sign, nor did they answer the door for law enforcement. A charge of failure to comply have been requested.

Nov. 1

8:12 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash involving an antlered deer on South Washington Avenue north of East 24th Street. A 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 was northbound on South Washington Avenue when the deer ran into the right side of the Dodge, causing damage to the pickup. The deer was euthanized by officers due to injuries.

9:20 a.m.: An officer met with a subject in the lobby of the police department who reported his moped was stolen overnight. He provided the officers with information and the moped was entered as stolen.

9:42 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Ohio Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run crash involving a parked motor vehicle. The owner stated his parked car in front of his house was damaged over Halloween from the rear-left side to the front-left side, including the driver's door handles and driver’s mirror.

3:15 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of East 11th Street in reference to a hit-and-run crash involving a parked vehicle. The owner said she had parked her Gray Nissan Pathfinder and went back 15 minutes later to find it damaged by an unknown vehicle. The driver left the scene without providing any information.

Nov. 1

4:45 p.m.: The Pettis County Sheriff's Office took a report of the abuse of two minor children in the 2600 block of Quincy Avenue. The report is being investigated.
