This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 30

9:08 p.m.: Shon L. Stutes, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested after officers responded to the 300 block of West Seventh Street for a domestic disturbance. The victim was in a physical altercation and sustained injuries. Stutes was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a state charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

May 2

6:36 p.m.: Jennifer Danelle Hollobaugh, 40, of the 1500 block of West Main Street, was arrested after officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a subject stealing. Hollobaugh was with staff and had been caught stealing after concealing several items in a bag and then proceeding toward the doors past all points of sale. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for stealing.

May 3

2:18 a.m.: Empelina Deitas Alexander, 44, of the 500 block of East 13th Street, was arrested after an officer made contact with a driver who had a suspended license. Alexander was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving without a license.

Incidents

April 26

9:47 a.m.: A church in the 200 block of East Pettis Road reported that someone emptied sandbags that held down a large wooden cross and pushed the cross to the ground. There was no other damage observed.

May 2

1:39 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a possible harassment that occurred in the 900 block of East Third Street. They spoke with the reporting party and gathered information, which was turned into a general information report.

May 3

4 a.m.: A theft was reported in front of a business in the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The phone, valued at $200, and the charger, valued at $12, were stolen from in front of the business. A report documented the incident.

Incidents

May 2

5:40 p.m.: A deputy was dispatched to Bryson Road and Hope Dale Road in Pettis County for a vehicle on fire in a field. The vehicle was fully engulfed. The Green Ridge Fire Department could not get to the truck and it was left in the field. The vehicle was a total loss.

Arrests

May 5

11:51 p.m.: Jason A. Taylor, 38, of Brookfield, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated and speeding. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
