Sedalia man hurt after street sweeper hit
Garrett D. Shewmaker, 32, of Sedalia sustained minor injuries at 7:58 a.m. Thursday in a Pettis County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shewmaker was driving a Broce Broom Sweeper in a work zone on Greissen Road when his vehicle was rear-ended by a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 driven west by Timothy L. Summers, 66, of Sedalia.
Summers was not wearing a seat belt, Shewmaker was and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District.
