A 62-year-old man from Towanda, KS suffered serious injuries at 2:49 p.m. Wednesday in a Benton County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the man was driving a 2006 Dodge Magnum west on Rt. H when he failed to negotiate a left hand corner and ran off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole and a fence before overturning.
The Towanda man was wearing a seat belt, and was transported by MU 3 helicopter to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
