A 60-year-old man from Tipton suffered serious injuries at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in a Moniteau county accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a large piece of ice fell off an unknown vehicle driving south on Missouri Route 5 and hit the windshield of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado driven north by the Tipton man. His vehicle ran off the edge of the roadway and collided with a fence.
He was wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Mid-MO Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
