A Kansas City woman, 44, suffered serious injuries at 8:21 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in a Benton County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado south on Missouri Route M at McKenna Villa Road when she crossed the centerline, drove off the left side of the roadway and hit a bridge. She was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
A Whiteman Air Force Base man, 20, suffered serious injuries at 4:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2005 Suzuki SV650s west on Missouri Route DD, east of SE 421 Road, when a 2014 Ford Focus driven east slowed for traffic and was struck by the motorcycle. The injured man was wearing a helmet, and was transported to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
