The City of Sedalia has several positions open.
The list includes one four-year term for Mayor, one one-year term for the First Ward, one two-year term for the First Ward, one two-year term for the Second Ward, one two-year term for the Third Ward and one two-year term for the Fourth Ward.
Filings will take place in the City Clerk’s Office from 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. City Hall will close from noon until 2 p.m. Dec. 19 and will also be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
The City of Smithton has one two-year mayor term and one two-year alderman term position open.

The City of La Monte has had one Mayor position open for two years, one Ward I Alderperson position open for two years and one Ward II position open for two years.
Candidates can file from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at City Hall.
The City of Smithton has one East Ward position open for two years, one West Ward position open for two years and one Mayor position open.
Candidates can file at City Hall. Normal office hours are 9 a.m. through Noon and 1 p.m. through 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays. Holiday hours vary but will be posted.
Three three-year positions are open for the Sedalia School District #200 Board of Education.
Filing is 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The district will not be open after noon on Dec. 19 and between Dec. 22 through Dec. 29. Filing will be open from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
Filing takes place with the Board of Education Office, 2806 Matthew Drive.
Two six-year positions will be open for the State Fair Community College Board of Trustees.
Candidates can file from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Offices will close at noon Dec. 17 and reopen from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
Three three-year positions will be open for the Green Ridge R-VI Board of Education.
Candidates can file from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will close at 1 p.m. Dec. 19. The office will reopen from 3 p.m. through 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
Three three-year positions are open for La Monte R-IV.
Hours are 8 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The district office will close at 1 p.m. Dec. 19. The office will reopen from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
Three three-year term positions are open for Pettis County R-V.
Hours are 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. The office will close at 4 p.m. Dec. 19 and reopen from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
Three three-year term positions are open for Pettis County R-XII.
Hours are 7:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Offices will close at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Offices will reopen from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
Three three-year term positions are open for Smithton R-VI.
Individuals may declare at the Superintendent's Office, 505 South Myrtle. Hours are 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Filing will not occur Dec 24 through Dec. 26. Hours will run through 5 p.m. Dec. 30.
The Pettis County Ambulance District has positions open for District 2 and District 5. Terms are three years each.
Filing takes place at the Pettis County Clerk’s Office. Filings will be received Monday through Friday during business hours. Closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
The Pettis County Fire Protection District has one board of directors position open for a six-year term.
Filing takes place with Secretary of the Board of Directors Shayla Ficken at District Station No. 7, 23502 Radio Hill Road. Hours are Monday through Friday, noon to 1 p.m. Appointments are available by calling (660) 520-1589.
Two three-year positions are available.
Filings may be done from 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 403 West Main in Cole Camp.
