Two hurt in head-on Johnson County accident

Two people were injured in a Johnson County accident at 7:07 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old man from Warrensburg was driving a 2016 Nissan southbound on Missouri Highway 13 north of U.S. Highway 50 when he crossed the vehicle and struck a 2014 Chevrolet driven by a 40-year-old woman from Warrensburg head-on.

The man suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by EMS.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by EMS.

Both individuals were wearing a seat belt.

Man hurt attempting to avoid deer

A 20-year-old male from Knob Noster suffered moderate injuries in an accident involving a deer at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2025 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Missouri Route 23 at Northeast 901 Road when a deer crossed into the path of the vehicle, causing the truck to skid and strike a tree.

The man, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center.

Female passenger hurt after car strikes deer

A 30-year-old female from Eldon suffered moderate injuries in an accident involving a deer at 1:09 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 in Johnson County. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 30-year-old male from Versailles was driving a 2014 Ford Escape eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 east of Missouri Route 58 when multiple deer entered into the path of the vehicle. The vehicle then struck a deer.

The female, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District.

The male was wearing a seat belt and did not have any reported injuries.

One hurt in head-on accident

A 73-year-old female from Warrensburg suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 10:51 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, she was driving a 2009 Pontiac Vibe southbound on Missouri Route 13 at 155th Road when she made a left turn and struck a 2011 Honda Odyssey driven by a 38-year-old female from Warrensburg head-on.

The driver of the Vibe was transported by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center.

The driver of the Odyssey was not injured.

Both were wearing their seat belts.

Man dies in Johnson County accident

A 38-year-old male from Warrensburg died in a single-vehicle accident at 2:22 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2017 GMC Sierra eastbound on U.S. Highway 50 west of 250th Road when he traveled off the left side of the road, struck a sign and a tree.

He was pronounced dead at 3:43 a.m. on the scene by Johnson County Coroner Clark Holdren and transported to the Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.

It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

Warrensburg teen hurt after overturning

A 17-year-old male from Warrensburg suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, he was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on Missouri Route 23 south of Southeast 971 Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned.

He was transported to the Western Missouri Medical Center by the Johnson County Ambulance District.

He was wearing a seat belt.
