Kaysinger Conference Volleyball Tournament begins Wednesday

Pool play for the Kaysinger Conference Volleyball Tournament begins Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Cole Camp High School. 

The conference’s 10 teams are split into two pools — Pool A and Pool B. 

Pool A features top-seeded Cole Camp, No. 4 Smithton, No. 5 Otterville, No. 8 Lincoln and No. 9 Windsor. Pool B consists of No. 2 Stover, No. 3 Sacred Heart, No. 6 Green Ridge, No. 7 La Monte and No. 10 Northwest. 

Wednesday’s schedule proceeds as follows: 

• 5 p.m. - Lincoln vs Windsor  (High School Gym, Stage side)
• 5 p.m. - Stover vs La Monte (High School Gym, Cafe side)
• 5 p.m. - Green Ridge vs Northwest (Junior High Gym)
• 5:45 p.m. - Cole Camp vs Otterville (High School Gym, Stage side)
• 5:45 p.m. - Smithton vs Lincoln (High School Gym, Cafe side)
• 5:45 p.m. - Sacred Heart vs Northwest (Junior High Gym)
• 6:30 p.m. - Smithton vs Windsor (High School Gym, Stage side)
• 6:30 p.m. - Stover vs Green Ridge (High School Gym, Cafe side)
• 6:30 p.m. - Sacred Heart vs La Monte (Junior High Gym)
• 7:15 p.m. - Cole Camp vs Lincoln (High School Gym, Stage side)
• 7:15 p.m. - Otterville vs Windsor (High School Gym, Cafe side)
• 7:15 p.m. - La Monte vs Northwest (Junior High Gym)

Pool play continues Thursday, Oct. 8, with matches taking place as follows: 

• 5 p.m. - Smithton vs Otterville (High School Gym)
• 5 p.m. - Green Ridge vs La Monte (Junior High Gym)
• 5:45 p.m. - Cole Camp vs Windsor (High School Gym)
• 5:45 p.m. - Stover vs Northwest (Junior High Gym)
• 6:30 p.m. - Cole Camp vs Smithton (High School Gym)
• 6:30 p.m. - Sacred Heart vs Green Ridge (Junior High Gym)
• 7:15 p.m. - Stover vs Sacred Heart (High School Gym)
• 7:15 p.m. - Otterville vs Lincoln (Junior High Gym)

The top three teams from each pool — based on win-loss record per set — advance to bracket play on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Cole Camp High School. The winners of each pool receive first-round byes. 

The No. 2 team from Pool A will play the No. 3 team from Pool B while the No. 2 team from Pool B plays the No. 3 team from Pool A at 9 a.m.

The winners of each match will advance to the semifinals and play the No. 1 team from each pool at 10 a.m. The winner between Pool A No. 2 and Pool B No. 3 will play the Pool A winner, while the winner of Pool B No. 2 vs Pool A No. 3 faces the Pool B winner. 

The losers of the quarterfinal matches will meet in a consolation match at 11 a.m.

The winners of the semifinal matches will play for the championship at noon, while the losers will meet in the third-place match at 11 a.m.
