Arrests

March 7

3:38 p.m.: Shiyana Danyiell Williams, 18, and Zakiyay Jeanerria Brownlee were arrested after officers were called to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. Two subjects were found to be skip-scanning at checkout and were escorted to the asset protection office and found to have unpaid property in their purses worth approximately $200. They were released with summons for stealing.

6:21 p.m.: Daniel J. Branz, 41, was arrested after officers responded to the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue for a highly intoxicated subject yelling. Branz was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.

6:57 p.m.: Gavin L. Kindle, 25, and Brooke Leeann Kabler, 28, were arrested after officers responded to Walmart for shoplifting. Two subjects had been stopped by asset protection and were released with summons for stealing $230.45 in merchandise.

8:12 p.m.: Josephine Cordelia Marek, 21, was arrested after an officer responded to the 2200 block of South Missouri Avenue for a violation of an order of protection. A suspect was located on scene and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of violation of the terms of the court order.

March 8

9:19 p.m.: Angelica N. Cardello, 34, was arrested after a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Engineer Avenue for speeding. The driver had a suspended driving status and was released with uniform traffic tickets for speeding and driving while suspended.

March 10

1:29 a.m.: Kevin Neal Richards, 42, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle stop at East Broadway Boulevard and South Summit Avenue. The vehicle was stolen and Richards was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending State charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and removing or defacing manufacturer's numbers.

March 7

11:09 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of South Stewart Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle report. The victim said someone stole a vehicle from their property which the officer entered into the system as stolen.

March 8

12:18 a.m.: Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Quincy Avenue for a possible overdose. They spoke with the caller and a report was completed.

4:39 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the lobby of the police department for a fraud report. The victim from the 900 block of Sylvia Drive said she paid someone $20 through Chime to reserve an item through Facebook Marketplace and was scammed.

11:55 p.m.: Officers responded to the 300 block of East 14th Street for the sounds of a disturbance. They investigated and found that a victim had been assaulted during a party and the suspect had fled. Further follow-up is needed as witnesses were identified but so far were unable to give statements.

March 9

8:33 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a call in the 300 block of North Quincy Avenue for an attempted home invasion with the man trying to gain entry to the back door of a residence. Officers detained a suspect at the scene and during the investigation learned there was a mental health issue and the man was at his own home.

Arrests

March 8

6:35 a.m.: Carlos A. Pacheco Arcuvia, of Kansas City, KS was arrested after Pettis County deputies clocked him at 96 mph in a 65 mph zone. Arcuvia did not have a valid driver's license and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, issued summons for no license and speeding 26 mph or more over the speed limit.

Incidents

March 8

1:11 p.m.: Pettis County deputies responded to the 4500 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to an out-of-control juvenile who was assaulting their mother. They spoke with the mother and the juvenile and determined, with the mother's consent, to have the juvenile transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A juvenile referral was completed and submitted to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.

4:00 p.m.: Deputies were dispatched to southbound Highway 65 at Mather Road in reference to a tractor pulling a hay bale trailer that had bales on fire. The driver explained he was attempting to get his load home and water it with a hose, but deputies instructed him to drop the trailer in the roadway where Pettis County Fire Protection District put out the fire.

Arrests

March 7

11:35 p.m.: Brandon M. Goodwin, 39, of Clinton was arrested in Henry County for felony driving while intoxicated and exceeding the posted speed limit. He was transported to the Henry County Sheriff's department and released.

March 8

8:33 p.m.: Gail D. Ward, 65, of Warsaw was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash. She was released.

March 9

12:09 a.m.: Zachary A. Panell, 34, of Los Angeles, California was arrested in Saline County for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
