Arrests

May 11

2:27 a.m.: Deruo Billimon, 44, was arrested after a traffic stop for non-working license plates near South Osage Avenue and West 15th Street. The driver had a suspended license and was intoxicated. He was transported to the police department then the Pettis County Jail pending charges of DWI - prior offender and driving while suspended.

May 12

5:32 p.m.: Bradley Allen Simons, 32, was arrested after a traffic stop at the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and New York Avenue on a vehicle failing to signal a lane change. Simons’ was placed under arrest for operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license and issued citations for that and no proof of insurance. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released. 

11:56 p.m.: Rickey Wayne Barnett Jr, 60, was arrested after an officer responded to East Harvey Street near Randall Road in reference to a dog that attacked a person and their dog.

The victim was contacted and had injuries from being bitten. The victim's dog had a severe bite and was taken for emergency surgery at Thompson Hills Animal clinic. Barnett was later contacted and issued multiple summons including animals biting or attacking persons, animals running at large, vaccination required and harness required. 

May 13

12:56 a.m.: Elizabeth Ann Esqueda, 37, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Seventh Street and South Moniteau Avenue. Officers identified the driver and ran her information through dispatch where she was found to have a suspended driver's status. She was transported to the police department and issued a summons. 

8:11 a.m.: Stephanie L. Flick, 47, was arrested after a vehicle stop in the 2400 block of South Limit Avenue for a vehicle operated by an individual with a known suspended driver's license. Flick was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a citation for driving while suspended. 

3:01 p.m.: Aurora Elizabeth Rincon Avalos, 32, was arrested after a traffic stop near Broadway Boulevard and Hancock Avenue in a vehicle failing to display front registration. The driver was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released with a citation for no driver's license. 

9:39 p.m.: Nicholas Allen Howe, 37, was arrested after officers responded to the 1300 block of South Limit Avenue for reports of a subject with a weapon threatening people inside a restaurant. Howe was located down the road and was transported to Pettis County Jail pending charges of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree harassment and resisting arrest. 

Incidents

May 13

7:23 p.m.: Officers responded to Dollar General, 4215 East Broadway Blvd, in reference to a theft. The suspect stole items on display in front of the store, but left before the officer's arrival. They were identified but no contact has been made at this time. 

8:18 p.m.: Officers took a report of a possible lost or stolen license plate in the 1200 block of West 11th Street. 

10:13 p.m.: An officer responded to the Katy Trail park near Clarendon Road for a dog that had been tied to a tree. The dog's owners were not located so the animal was transported to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.

May 13

3:30 p.m.: James E. Bandy, 67, of Springfield was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated - persistent offender and speeding. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.
