Residents within the Pettis County Fire Protection District and Knob Noster R-VIII School District will vote on bond issues Aug. 5.
Shall the Board of Directors of Pettis County Fire Protection District No. 1 be authorized to levy an additional tax of not more than forty-eight cents on the one hundred dollars assessed valuation to provide funds for the support of the district?
Shall the Board of Education of Knob Noster R-VIII School District of Johnson County, Missouri, be authorized to increase the operating tax levy ceiling to $3.80 per $100 of assessed valuation according to the 2025 assessment for the purpose of constructing specific academic and athletic components including Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Building Trades, Wrestling Facility, Youth Sports Facilities, Running Track, Football Field, and Stadium, to be included with the new Knob Noster High School which is currently under construction? If this question is approved, the operating tax levy of the District is estimated to increase by $0.30 per $100 of assessed valuation.
All Aug. 5 Special Election voting will take place at the Pettis County Clerk/Election Authority Office, 215 E. 5th Street.
