Oct. 31

12:55 p.m. Shayla Nashell Wheeler, 28, was arrested near the intersection of West Second Street and South Harrison Avenue for operator’s or chauffeur’s license required, no proof of insurance and failure to register a vehicle after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plates. The driver did not have a valid license, and was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released with three municipal citations.

5:48 p.m. Joseph Lee Card, 45, was arrested near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Emmet Avenue for drug possession and trafficking drugs after officers were contacted in regards to a subject with an active warrant. Officers located the subject, arrested him and transported him to the Pettis County Jail.

5:45 p.m. Richard Alexander Diaz, 36, was arrested for drug possession and identity theft near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and Emmett Avenue after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a known suspect with a felony warrant. He was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance with a $75,000 cash or surety bond. Illegal contraband was discovered during a search. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. The charges of possession of a controlled substance and identity theft have been requested.

9:24 p.m. Joshua Meineker, 45, was arrested for DWI and driving while suspended near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Summit Avenue after officers made contact with an individual observed to be operating a vehicle. During contact, the odor of intoxicants was detected and a DWI investigation was conducted. The investigation determined the driver was driving while intoxicated and had a revoked driving status. A blood draw was conducted and the suspect was transported to the Pettis County Jail. A request for charges of DWI Aggravated Offender and driving while revoked have been submitted.

Nov. 1

1:03 a.m. Elisha Joel Greene, 27, was arrested near the intersection of East 24th Street and South Engineer Avenue for driving while intoxicated after officers conducted a traffic stop for a lane violation. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC above .08. The suspect was issued a ticket for DWI, fingerprinted and released.

7:44 a.m. Matthew H. Harrison, 51, was arrested for property damage and sexual misconduct after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of trespassing and property damage. Officers located the subject and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.

1:52 p.m. Eduardo A. Solis Romas, 25, was arrested in the 800 block of East 6th Street for Property Damage after officers responded to damage to a vehicle that occurred the morning of Oct. 31. Officers gathered information and learned the suspect was arrested earlier in the morning. Officers spoke to the suspect at the jail and he was placed on another 24 hour hold for property damage.

2:07 p.m. Jacob E. Hopkins, 28, was arrested for harassment and 4th degree assault after officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a trespassing call. The subject was located and given a written trespass. An hour later, officers received a call from the same business that the subject had called six times within 12 minutes, cursing and threatening business personnel. He was then located and arrested for harassment and assault. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released on the charges for court at a later date.

7:40 p.m. Candice A. Wagenknecht, 43, was arrested near the intersection of West 2nd Street and South Osage Avenue for 4th degree assault after officers responded to the location in reference to an intoxicated female. On scene, officers observed the suspect punch a male in the face. She was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. A request for the charge of 4th-degree assault has been submitted to the prosecutor.

11:34 p.m. Ronald David William Jr., 52, was arrested near the intersection of East 11th Street and South Ingram Avenue for driving while intoxicated after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle observed failing to maintain its lane of travel. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC above .08. The suspect was fingerprinted, issued a UTT and released.

Nov. 2

1:53 a.m. Ethan Paul Jones, 21, was arrested near the intersection of West 10th Street and South Grand Avenue for drug possession, unlawful use of a weapon and DWI. After officers observed a vehicle failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. The driver had a pistol concealed on his person. He was determined to be intoxicated and in possession of a glass jar of prescription medications. He was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC above .08. A request for charges of DWI, possession of a dangerous drug and unlawful use of a weapon has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office.

10:59 a.m. Devin Leenard Montgomery, 56, was arrested for driving while suspended near the intersection of West Third Street and South Missouri Avenue after officers conducted a traffic stop for a lane violation. The driver had a suspended driver's license. The suspect was booked and released from the Pettis County Jail with a municipal citation for driving while suspended.

Nov. 3

2:55 a.m. Kobe Case, 22, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 100 block of East 16th Street after officers stopped a vehicle for having a headlight out. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested. He was transported to the Police Department, where he was booked and released with a summons.

11:27 p.m. Stacy Carmen Reed Van Meter, 56, was arrested in the 2800 block of South Limit Avenue for possession of drug paraphernalia after officers responded to a disturbance in a vehicle. Upon investigation, it became apparent that the disturbance was related to an argument over drugs. The vehicle was searched after a police K9 alerted to drugs inside the vehicle and a controlled substance was found inside. One subject was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where they were booked to be held for 24 hours pending charges submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.

Incidents

Oct. 31

4:07 p.m. The owner of Omnn Tan reported a theft. He provided information on the theft, the victims and the suspects.

8:07 p.m. Officers responded to the 2000 block of Proenergy on the report of a deer struck by a vehicle. The deer was reported to be seriously injured.

Nov. 1

10:36 a.m. Officers took a report via phone for a possible theft that occurred at Breaktime on 808 East Broadway. Information was gathered on the incident.

2:35 p.m. Officers were waved down in the 700 block of East Third Street in reference of a subject wanting to get his items out of a house. He stated he had been a resident on and off for two years. It was found that there had been a physical disturbance between the subject and the actual lease of the home. It was also discovered that the subject had assaulted the leasee of the house with an iron rod and the leasee had assaulted the subject with his hands. The leasee did not want to press charges. The subject departed the residence before finding out about the assault. A 12-hour report was completed.

2:36 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of South Emmet Avenue for property damage and trespassing. Information was gathered on the incident.

8:44 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of West 16th Street and South Sneed Avenue in reference to a hit-and-run collision. A report has been generated.

11:46 p.m Officers patrolling the area of Clarendon Road and Southwest Boulevard observed a large toolbox obstructing the roadway. It was recovered and taken the Police Department for safekeeping.

Nov. 2

1:10 a.m. Officers made contact with a subject atet e police department parking lot regarding destruction of property. Officers gathered information and spoke with the subject. They gathered information to generate a report for further investigation.

5:51 a.m. Officers responded to the the American inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue, for a disturbance. A 12 hour log was entered on the incident.

9:21 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Bristol Lane in reference to a possible drug violation. The item was collected and tested at the police department.

11:01 a.m. Officers responded to Mernards, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, in reference to a theft that occurred on Nov. 1. The suspect came into the store, selected approximately $213.65 worth of items and left without paying for them.

11:33 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of West Johnson for a disturbance. Both subjects were entered into a 12-hour log.

1:18 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the American Inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue, for a theft report. The victim stated $80 in cash was missing from their room.

1:24 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of West 10th Street in reference to a theft report. The victim said their e-bike was stolen from their yard overnight between Oct. 30 and Oct. 31.

3:45 p.m. Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Harding Avenue for an assault that occurred at Buds Laundromat at 301 S. Engineer Street. The victim said that while sitting in her car, another female got out and pepper-sprayed her. Information was gathered on the incident.

4:10 p.m. Officers responded to the 2800 block of West Main Street for stealing after officers responded in reference to a theft report. The victim stated suspects came onto his property and stole approximately $500 worth of scrap copper. The suspects were captured on security systems.

7:12 p.m. An officer conducted a vehicle pursuit with an ATV after it was observed westbound in an alley near South Missouri Avenue and West Main Street. An officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but a chase ensued. The vehicle began driving through yards and the officer lost sight of it. The subjects then fled on foot, leaving the ATV behind. No arrests have been made at this time.

9:44 p.m. Officers responded to the Sedalia Police Department Lobby in reference to a burglary report. A report has been generated.

Nov. 3

1:48 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Quincy for an unknown problem. Officers arrived on the scene and discovered someone had thrown a rock through a window on the front of the house. A report was taken.
