Arrests

Sept. 27

1:07 a.m.: Edgar Lemus Rodriguez, 32, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue for speeding. The driver failed to identify and was arrested. A search revealed cocaine and the driver had a revoked license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of distribution of a dangerous drug, possession of cocaine and opium, and driving while suspended.

10:23 p.m.: Joshua Scott Thaller, 32, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop at South Quincy Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard for disobeying stop sign. The driver had a revoked driver's license and a $15,000 warrant. He was transported to the police department, processed and was transported to jail on the warrant and state charges of DWI - persistent offender, driving while revoked, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 2

11:30 p.m.: Aaron Patrick Kennon, 23, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 800 block of Thompson Boulevard for no front plate and no plate lights. The driver was intoxicated by drugs and was transported to the police department, processed and released. 

Oct. 7

12:19 a.m.: Warren Rudolph Olson, 41, was arrested after police conducted a traffic stop near East Broadway Boulevard and South Massachusetts Avenue for disobeying a red signal light. The driver was suspected of drug impairment and was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked for DWI drug - prior offender. 

Incidents

Oct. 6

6:23 p.m.: A business in the 2500 block of West Broadway Boulevard reported a subject fraudulently obtained two prepaid cards valued at $490. 

Oct. 7

10:44 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Monitor Avenue in reference to a burglary. They documented the property damage and submitted a report.

3:56 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South State Fair Boulevard in reference to a theft. They spoke with the reporting party and submitted a report. 

7:06 p.m.: Officers responded to the lobby of the Sedalia Police Department for a found phone. The phone located near East Fifth Street and South Engineer Avenue was placed into evidence for safekeeping.

Arrests

Oct. 7

1:09 a.m.: Michael D. Gutierrez, 23, of Lenexa, KS was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash and no seat belt. He was transported to the Lafayette County Jail and released.

11:42 p.m.: Joseph A. Groat, 21, of Centerview was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated, an equipment violation and expired registration. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
