Smith-Cotton will host eight teams, including Cole Camp, Sacred Heart and Tipton, for the annual Smith-Cotton Volleyball Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Pool play begins at 8 a.m. The Black Division — consisting of Smith-Cotton, Cole Camp, Santa Fe and Marshall — will compete in the main gym, while the Gold Division — featuring Sacred Heart, Tipton, Osage and Lafayette County — plays in the auxiliary gym.
In the main gym, pool play opens with Smith-Cotton taking on Cole Camp, followed by Santa Fe vs Marshall, Santa Fe vs Cole Camp, Smith-Cotton vs Marshall, Cole Camp vs Marshall and Santa Fe vs Smith-Cotton.
In the auxiliary gym, action starts with Sacred Heart facing Tipton, followed by Osage vs Lafayette County, Osage vs Tipton, Sacred Heart vs Lafayette County, Tipton vs Lafayette County and Osage vs Sacred Heart.
The top two teams from each pool advance to the championship bracket in the main gym. At 2 p.m., the No. 2 team in the Gold Division will face the No. 1 team in the Black Division. The No. 1 team in the Gold Division will play the No. 2 team in the Black Division at 3 p.m.
The winners of those matches will play for the championship at 4 p.m.
The consolation bracket will take place in the auxiliary gym, with the No. 3 team in the Black Division taking on the No. 4 team in the Gold Division at 2 p.m. and the No. 4 team in the Black Division taking on the No. 3 team in the Gold Division at 3 p.m.
The winners of those matches will face each other at 4 p.m.
