Three Dog Night, Little River Band to perform at Missouri State Fair

Two classic bands are set to perform at the Missouri State Fair Grandstand in 2026. 

Three Dog Night and Little River Band will perform during the MSF at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 18. 

 Created in 1968 by Irish-born Danny Hutton, Three Dog Night is celebrating its sixth decade, and once charted  21 consecutive Billboard Top 40 hits, including 3 #1 singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs. They have sold over 50 million records. 

Three Dog Night has released 12 gold albums, driven by its well-known songs like  “One” “Easy to be Hard”, “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” “Joy to the World”, “Black and White” and “Shambala.”

In 2026, Three Dog Night is slated to release “Enter,” its first studio album in nearly 40 years.

Dubbed “the best singing band in the world,” by the late Glenn Frey of the Eagles, Little River Band is under 44–year band member, lead vocalist and bass player Wayne Nelson. Wayne has contributed to 24 of Little River Band’s albums/CDs.

 Little River Band has more than 350 million worldwide album, CD and digital downloads. 

It is the first band to have Top 10 Hits for six consecutive years, including “Reminiscing,” and “Lady”.

This is the fourth concert to be announced for the fair thus far,

The All American Rejects will perform Aug. 14, Russell Dickerson with Atlus will perform Aug. 15 and Skillet with Tenth Avenue North will perform Aug. 19. 

Missouri State Fair Grandstand concert ticket presale begins for registered Fair Fans at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, and will end at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 18, through Etix.com or by phone. No tickets for the Missouri State Fair will be sold prior to the presale.

Public sales begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, through Etix.com or by phone. The Missouri State Fair Box Office will open at noon on Monday, June 29.
