Calhoun teen seriously injured in Johnson County crash
A Calhoun girl, 16, suffered serious injuries at 10:36 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa east on Missouri Route 2, east of Missouri Route 13, when she traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway and skidded off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.
She was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported by Life Flight to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Sunrise Beach trucker killed in Morgan County accident
A Sunrise Beach man, 66, was killed at 10:56 a.m. Thursday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, he was driving a 2022 International HV 507 south on Missouri Route 135 near Spirit Lane, when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead by Morgan County Corner Jim Towles and was transported to Kidwell Garber Funeral Home.
