Calhoun man hurt in Henry County accident

Harold D. Bell, 76, of Calhoun, suffered minor injuries at 12:45 p.m. Monday in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bell was driving a 2002 Chevrolet S10 east on state Route 52 when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway, crossed the center of the road, and traveled off the left side of the road while the vehicle was rotating. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle struck a tree.

Bell was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton by Golden Valley EMS.

Sedalia girl hurt in Johnson County accident

A 4-year-old girl from Sedalia suffered minor injuries at 2:50 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alexis J. Kindle-Schmutz, 25, of Sedalia, was driving a 2013 GMC Acadia west on U.S. Highway 50 near state Highway 13 bypass when she lost control on the rain or snow-covered roadway. Her vehicle slid off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

She was not wearing a seat belt, but the child was. The child was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District.

Lake Ozark man seriously injured in Morgan accident

Ronald G. Lacy, 62, of Lake Ozark, suffered serious injuries at 1:08 p.m. Monday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lacy was driving a 2006 Pontiac Torrent east on U.S. Highway 50 as a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Javier G. Olmedo, 21, of Sedalia, was driving west. Lacy traveled onto the snow-covered shoulder and skidded. He overcorrected and returned to the roadway, traveling across the centerline into the path of Olmedo’s Camaro.

Olmedo was wearing a seat belt; Lacy was not and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

Tractor-trailer versus Prius sends one to hospital

Volodymyr Vendenov, 35, of Houstonia, suffered minor injuries at 10:15 p.m. Saturday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Brian B. Albert, 66, of Corsicana, Texas, was westbound on I-70 and struck the rear of Vendinov’s 2010 Toyota Prius. The Prius traveled off the north side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Vendenov was transported by Saline County Ambulance District to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
