This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 10

8:26 a.m.: Alyssa Dotson, 24, of the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court, was arrested after a vehicle stop at Engineer Avenue and Howard Street on a vehicle with a defective brake light. The driver did not have a valid driver's license and was issued a summons and released.

6:54 p.m.: Sidney L. Hettinger, 66, of Leonard, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop near West Broadway Boulevard and Winchester Drive on a speeding vehicle. The driver had a suspended driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of driving with a suspended license.

April 11

7:07 p.m.: Isai Ramirez Tello, 34, of the 900 block of Winchester Drive, was arrested after officers conducted a vehicle stop at West 16th Street and South Beacon Avenue. Tello had a revoked driving status and was issued a municipal citation and released.

Incidents

April 8

6:38 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 10th Street for a previous robbery. They gathered information to generate a report and begin an investigation.

April 10

3:57 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. They gathered information for a report.

April 11

8:29 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Winchester Drive in reference to a stolen vehicle report. It is unknown whether the vehicle is actually stolen or repossessed. The lien holder was unable to confirm or deny but strongly urged the caller to wait 24 hours for updates.

8:47 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a fraud/deception call in the 3200 block of Buckingham Drive. They contacted the victim by phone and gathered information for a report.

2:25 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report in the 1400 block of Liberty Park Boulevard. The victim stated someone stole approximately $350 cash from their apartment.

10:39 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of South Prospect Avenue for a disturbance. They were able to complete an investigation and documented it in a report.

Arrests

April 10

3:07 p.m.: Joseph M. Parish, 46, of California, Missouri, was arrested in Moniteau County for operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner resulting in a crash, failure to comply with an interlock restriction, felony driving while revoked and felony driving while intoxicated - alcohol. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

April 11

11:40 a.m.: Victor D. Grapes, 54, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for felony driving with a revoked license. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

2:03 p.m.: George W. Mobley, 51, of Sedalia, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to display valid plates. He was transported to the Saline County Jail and released.
