This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

April 18

12:07 p.m.: Sheridan Marie Anderson, 22, of the 400 block of Albright Court, was arrested after officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of a subject shoplifting. Anderson had left but was later identified, located, and a municipal summons was issued for theft.

2:15 p.m.: Julia O. Alstot, 30, of Smithton, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a theft report in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. The suspect was given a court summons and released on scene.

5:52 p.m.: Emma Caroline Sosa, 18, of Windsor, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to two shoplifters. They arrived, spoke with asset protection and gathered information for a report. The shoplifters were identified, issued a summons and released on scene.

6:51 p.m.: Angelica Sue Lawson, 34, of the 300 block of North Randolph Avenue, was arrested after officers responded for a possible domestic disturbance in progress. The suspect had reportedly left the scene on foot and was quickly located by officers. The victim had apparent injuries. Lawson was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a second-degree domestic assault charge.

8:12 p.m.: Christie Lee Dee, 39, of the 24000 block of Oak Grove Lane, and Lillian Celeste Bastion, 19, of Blue Springs, were arrested after officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to two shoplifters. They arrived, spoke with asset protection and gathered information for a report. The shoplifters were issued summonses and released on scene.

Incidents

April 17

4:01 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a report of shoplifting in progress. They arrived on scene, gathered information and evidence from personnel, and a report was completed.

5:02 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 3200 block of Broadway Boulevard in reference to a fight taking place in a parking lot.

9:47 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to West Third Street and South Barrett Avenue for a hit-and-run accident. They talked with witnesses and gathered information for a report. A suspect has not been identified.

April 19

2:17 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to property damage. The reporting party was passing through the lot, saw the damage and called police. Officers arrived, but the reporting party was gone. They documented damage to the property. A suspect has not been identified.

Arrests

April 18

11:28 p.m.: Richard N. Breckenridge, 40, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested in Henry County for driving while intoxicated-drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to provide insurance, and speeding. He was transported to the Henry County Jail and released.
