This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

Feb. 19

8:47 p.m.: Juan Roberto Enrique Cabrera, 34, of the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue, was arrested after an officer stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue for an equipment issue. Cabrera was found not to have a driver's license, was arrested, transported to the police department and released on a summons.

Feb. 20

5:50 a.m.: Travis Mitchell Shepard, 33, of the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard, was arrested after officers responded in reference to a burglary. The complainant was under the influence of an illegal substance and had already called 911 multiple times, requiring an emergency response. Shepard was in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending State charges of drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misusing 911.

Incidents

Jan. 24

4:20 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a stolen vehicle. The caller said he was giving three individuals a ride when they held a knife to his throat and took his vehicle. The vehicle was recovered a short time later and two of the suspects were located. The caller decided not to press charges and they were released. The victim later called back and said he wanted to pursue charges and then changed his mind again. No arrests have been made at this time.

Feb. 15

7:19 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to West Broadway Boulevard and South Lemon Avenue for the report of a hit-and-run accident. The victim said while he was stopped in traffic, a vehicle made a turn to head east on Broadway Boulevard, jumped the median and struck a street sign. The victim said the sign struck the driver's side of his vehicle, but the other vehicle continued driving east on Broadway.

4:51 p.m.: An officer met a victim at his residence in the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive. The man reported that both his front and rear license plates were stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at a business in the 3300 block of West Broadway Boulevard. There are no suspects.

Feb. 19

7:30 a.m.: An officer responded to the 700 block of West Main Street to investigate a reported theft. The victim said she was recently awarded the contents of a storage unit and photographed the contents at that time. When she returned to the unit, a dryer valued at $900 was missing. There is a possible suspect, but no contact has been made.

Feb. 20

8:10 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a robbery report in the 400 block of West Seventh Street. The victim said someone she knew was in her house and took tools and change. When she confronted them, she was pushed to the ground.

6:22 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard about a theft report. Asset protection provided information regarding items stolen from the business. No suspects have been identified at this time.

11:22 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Quincy Avenue regarding a missing person. The caller reported her roommate had left for work and did not return. The subject has not been located and was entered as missing.

Feb. 21

1:31 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Department regarding an animal bite report from the 1900 block of South Harrison Avenue. They gathered information and photographs of injuries. Officers and Animal Control were then able to locate the dog and remove it from the area to prevent further injuries. A report was generated to document the incident.
