On Friday, Pettis County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 36900 block of Silver Mine Road along with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for a shots fired call. Deputies and troopers found evidence of shots into a home, according to a press release from Sheriff Kevin Bond.

Pettis County deputies advised Benton County authorities they were searching for a white Ford F350. They identified the driver as a resident of Cole Camp. A short time later, the Cole Camp Police Department located the suspect vehicle and the driver at a Cole Camp general store.

Deputies arrived at the store to speak with the suspect and learned several other subjects could have been involved in the incident. These subjects had been dropped off at two locations, and they reportedly threw evidence out onto state Route 52.

Deputies and troopers responded to a residence on Route M in Pettis County to speak with other people potentially involved. As a result of the investigation, Pettis County deputies took four adults and a juvenile into custody at the Pettis County Jail.

Cassandra Ann Iman, 20, of Cole Camp, has been charged in Pettis County Circuit Court with felony tampering with physical evidence, minor visibly intoxicated and second-degree property damage. She was arraigned Monday before Judge Jeff Mittelhauser, who issued her a $15,000 bond, cash or surety. Her next court hearing is scheduled for April 24 for attorney status.
