This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 19

8:30 a.m.: Brian Lee Graf, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of first-degree trespassing. An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Harding Avenue for a report of trespassing. He found Graf in the old Union Pacific station building. The property owner had previously told SPD that he wants to pursue charges against anyone trespassing on the property. The officer took Graf into custody.

2:15 p.m.: Jodie Raye Cornine, 20, of Hughesville, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. An officer was dispatched to an injury accident at West Broadway Boulevard and Curry Road. Two vehicles had an accident in the middle of the intersection. The officer suspected Cornine, who rear-ended another vehicle, was driving under the influence. She suffered injuries in the accident and went to the hospital. The officer later took her into custody.

Incidents

June 18

12:20 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West 16th Street for a report of a disturbance. The complainant was involved in a road rage incident and followed another vehicle to the business to get a photo of the license plate. After reaching the business, the suspect shoved the complainant. The officer completed a municipal court summons for both subjects and will present the case to the city prosecutor for review.

June 19

7:30 a.m.: An officer spoke in the police station lobby with a complainant, who said someone took money from two of her bank accounts. Several people had access to her credit card and pin number. The victim had a total of $753 taken out of her accounts. There was a suspect at the time of the report.

11:10 a.m.: A woman came to the police station to report a theft. She said someone stole the battery from her vehicle along with four tires and both license plates. The estimated cost of the theft is $740. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

1:40 p.m.: A complainant reported unknown suspects caused damage to his vehicle that day by breaking the front driver-side window. Once inside the vehicle, the suspects rummaged through and took about $10 in change, eight $1 bills and a $20 bill. The victim reported the theft occurred sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. He estimated the cost of the damage to be $500. The officer had no suspect information at the time of the report.

3:10 p.m.: An officer was informed he needed to contact a subject about a burglary that happened last month. He spoke with the victim, who said someone broke into his house between May 18 and May 24. He was missing some tools, a TV, a laptop and a futon.

8:15 p.m.: Oleg N. Antonov, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, not wearing a seat belt and not having insurance.
