A Sedalia man was arrested this week on a charge stemming from an April bar fight.
Roy Vickers, of the 600 block of East 11th Street, has been charged with felony first-degree assault. He was arrested Wednesday and is in custody at the Pettis County Jail, according to a Pettis County Sheriff’s Office press release.
On April 18, Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a bar in the 4800 block of South Limit Avenue for a fight in progress. During their investigation, they learned Vickers and Michael Mann, of Sedalia, had been in a fight.
Mann was knocked unconscious during the fight and suffered a severe head injury, according to the release. He was flown to a hospital in Columbia for treatment and survived his injuries.
Vickers remains at the jail on a $25,000 bond, cash or surety. Court records don’t yet show when he will appear for an arraignment or further hearings at the Pettis County Courthouse.
