This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

March 18

5:30 a.m.: Alicia Marie Sims, 27, of the 200 block of South Stewart Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. An officer noticed a vehicle parked in the area of South Montgomery Avenue and East Fourth Street facing north in the southbound lane. He saw the driver, Sims, was passed out behind the wheel with the engine running. Investigation revealed Sims was intoxicated.

12:35 p.m.: Christopher E. Good, 26, of the 1500 block of South Missouri Avenue, received a municipal court summons for a charge of peace disturbance. An officer was dispatched to a business at West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue for a reported disturbance. The complainant and Good were involved in a private property accident. She said Good exited his vehicle and started cursing, yelling and threatening to slap her.

2:55 a.m.: David Shadale Cason, 26, of the 200 block of North Washington Avenue, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Carr Avenue in reference to a vehicle accident, in which a driver crashed into a parked car. The impact pushed the parked car into a Ford F350 truck. Investigation revealed the driver, Cason, was intoxicated.

March 19

6:55 p.m.: Thomas Waddell Bentley Jr., of the 800 block of West Third Street, received a municipal court summons for a noise violation. An officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West Third Street for a noise complaint. He spoke with the caller, who complained of the music in a neighboring building. The music was audible in the living room of the complainant’s apartment. The officer issued Bentley a municipal court summons.

Incidents

March 18

3:10 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Prospect Avenue for a report of gunshots. They made contact with the caller, who heard a disturbance near his residence. A short time later, he heard several gunshots. The caller said two bullets struck the front of his residence and traveled through the walls and into interior walls. No one was injured in the incident.

March 19

8:50 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of South Lamine Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle report. The reporting party said he’s been in the Pettis County Jail and learned from his wife in a phone call that his truck was missing. She told him she went to check on it Sunday where it was parked, and it was no longer there. The incident is under investigation.

Arrests

March 18

1:10 a.m.: Jaime Guzman, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

1:10 a.m.: Kela M. Casey, 31, of Independence, was arrested in Johnson County on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

1:15 a.m.: Timothy D. Wright, 38, of Clinton, was arrested in Henry County on charges of felony distribution of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated.

3:10 p.m.: Aaron T. Mosier, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested in Moniteau County on a charge of possession of marijuana.

3:10 p.m.: Tyler A. Adair, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested in Moniteau County on charges of possession of marijuana and speeding.

10:25 p.m.: Paige M. Daiber, 22, and Cody M. Clow, 24, both of St. Elmo, Illinois, were arrested in Saline County on charges of felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

10:25 p.m.: Caitlyn R. Clow, 20, of Altamont, Illinois, was arrested in Saline County on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 20

11:45 a.m.: Jason L. Hubbard, 35, of Kansas City, was arrested in Benton County on a felony charge of driving with a revoked license.
