Pettis County added 40 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,902, according to the Pettis County Health Center.
There are now 593 active cases and 3,260 residents have been released to normal activity. Twenty residents are now hospitalized seeking treatment for the virus.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported a seven-day total of 18,170 cases on Friday or an average of 2,596 per day. There were a total of 108 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Missouri during the last seven days, representing an average of 15 deaths per day.
