Osceola man in serious condition after Johnson County motorcycle accident

John B. Schwantz, 59, of Odessa sustained serious injuries at 7:35 p.m. Saturday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Schwantzs was driving a 1991 Harley Davidson north on State Route M when the vehicle overturned and the driver was ejected.

Schwantz was not wearing a helmet, and was flown to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Lake Ozark motorcyclist killed in Morgan County accident

Corey A. Alley, 35, of Lake Ozark was killed at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alley was driving a 2016 Indian Scout motorcycle south on state Route Y when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree, and was ejected.

Alley was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead by Morgan County Deputy Medical Examiner Hunter Denman. He was transported to the Boone County medical examiner's office.

Sedalia man hurt in Pettis County accident

John P. Withers, 41, of Sedalia sustained minor injuries at 4 p.m. Sunday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Withers was driving a 2000 Buick LeSabre north on state Route 8, north of Saline Street, when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and overturned.

It is unknown if Withers was wearing a seat belt, he was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Two in serious condition, one dead in Saline County accident

Carolyn J. Maberry, 86, of Dawn, was killed, Connie J. Maberry, 68, also of Dawn, sustained serious injuries, and Mary F. Rounkles, 74, of Tina, sustained serious injuries at 3:03 p.m. Friday in a Saline County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Connie Mayberry was driving a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica north on US Highway 65, just north of state Route UU, when she traveled off the roadway, struck a field entrance and the vehicle overturned.

Carolyn Maberry was pronounced at the scene by the Saline County coroner. She was wearing a seat belt, and was transported to the Saline County Coroner's Office. Rounkles was not wearing a seat belt, and was transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia. Connie Maberry was wearing a seat belt, and was also transported by air ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
