Gravois Mills driver hurt in Morgan County accident
Rose E. Sheets, 81, of Gravois Mills ,sustained minor injuries at 3 p.m. Tuesday in a Morgan County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sheets was driving a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage north on Missouri Highway 5 and attempted to pass a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer driven by John G. McCrae, 77, of Versailles, who was making a left-hand turn and was hit.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, Sheets was transported by Mid-MO Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
Two killed in Saline County motorcycle accident
Jamie E. Kelly, 41, of Waverly, and Dylan L. Giffen, 29, of Malta Bend, were killed at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday in a Saline County motorcycle accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred as a 2018 Kubota tractor was southbound on U.S. Highway 65 attempting to make a left turn onto Arbor Road. Dylan Giffen was driving a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle south and when attempting to pass the tractor, crossed over the northbound lanes and struck a 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven by Barbara M. Jarvis, 47, of Carrollton.
Giffin and Kelly were pronounced dead on scene by Waverly Paramedic Tyler Jones and were transported to the Saline County Coroner's office.
