Carrollton man killed in Saline accident

Nathan L. Pitts-Burkhardt, 20, of Carrollton, was killed at 6:15 a.m. April 1 in a Saline County accident. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Pitts-Burkhardt, who was driving south in a 2006 Toyota Scion at a high rate of speed, began skidding on a corner. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The driver and front-seat passenger were partially ejected and the Scion came to rest off the roadway on its top, facing northwest. 

Christopher L. Bigby, 27, of Sedalia, received moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. Jonathan l. Bruce, 19, of Carrollton, received minor injuries and was also transported by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital. 

No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt. 

Sedalia man injured in Pettis two-car crash

Nathaniel Bryant, 27, of Sedalia, received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Pettis County. 

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Georgia B. Soldan, 81, of Smithton, was driving west on U.S. 50 at Monsees Road in a 2014 Buick when she began to make a left turn. Bryant, who was driving east in a 1998 Chevrolet, attempted to avoid her, crossed the center of the roadway and was struck by the Buick. 

Bryant, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Medical Center. Soldan was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
