One injured in Saline crash

A man was injured in a crash at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, John L. Stovall, 57, of Nebraska, was driving eastbound on I-70 at the 73.6 mile marker when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway to avoid a previously wrecked vehicle stalled in lanes of traffic. His vehicle struck a cable barrier and came to a rest in the median.

Stovall suffered minor injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by Sweet Springs Ambulance District.

Two injured in Morgan crash

Two individuals were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jorge Ipina, 34, of Sedalia, was driving westbound on U.S. Route 50 when he lost control of his vehicle due to road conditions, causing the trailer hauled by his vehicle to swerve into oncoming traffic. An eastbound vehicle driven by Emily M. Edwards, 38, of Columbia, then struck the trailer.

Ipina suffered minor injuries and Edwards suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia by ambulance.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
