Two injured in Johnson County accident

Dwayne Danner, 24, of Barnett, sustained serious injuries and Logan Rand, 19, of Versailles, sustained moderate injuries at 4:19 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Danner was driving a 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer east on U.S. Highway 50, east of County Road 1971, and was overtaking another vehicle when the vehicle cut in front. The Trailblazer traveled off the left side of the roadway and down a steep embankment, striking a ditch in the median. The vehicle crossed westbound lanes of U.S. 50 and struck the embankment on the north side of the road, a fence, and a utility pole.

Danner was not wearing a seat belt, but Rand was. They were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Stockton woman hurt in Johnson accident

Samantha G. Maley, 35, of Stockton, sustained minor injuries at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Maley was driving a 2007 Ford 500 west on U.S. Highway 50 at Northwest 1601 Road when she traveled off the roadway, overturned and struck several trees.

She was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Maley was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg by ambulance.

Two teens hurt, one seriously, in Morgan County accident

Bryce D. Martin, 18, of Fortuna, sustained serious injuries and Joanna E. Hillman, 19, of Versailles, sustained minor injuries at 4:04 a.m. Sunday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Martin was driving a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 north on state Route 5 north of Route HH when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, vaulted over a driveway, and overturned.

Neither teen was wearing a seat belt. They were transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach by Mid-Mo Ambulance District.
