Warsaw man seriously injured

A Warsaw man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 8:45 p.m. Friday in Henry County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Gerald A. Roth, 64, was driving west on state Route 52 at Southwest 401st Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice-covered road. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned.

Roth, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by Golden Valley Ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in Clinton for his injuries.

Four hurt in Johnson wreck

Four people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle wreck at 6 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Myra A. Jordan, 21, of Florissant, was driving north on state Route 13 at state Route H when she began to overtake another vehicle in a no-passing zone. She entered into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Lillian E. Satterfield, 24, of Warrensburg. Both drivers swerved in an unsuccessful attempt to avoid an impact and collided in the southbound lanes.

Satterfield and two passengers in her vehicle, an infant and a 2-year-old from Warrensburg, were taken by the Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. A passenger in Jordan’s vehicle, Jadan A. McGhee, 20, of Florissant, was also taken by JCAD to WMMC.

Reports indicate all occupants were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Man arrested for DWI

A Slater man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle accident at 9 p.m. Sunday in Saline County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James E. Parrish, 48, was driving north on state Route O, south of 320th Road, when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. He overcorrected and his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a ditch. This caused his vehicle to overturn, ejecting Parrish.

Parrish, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

According to an MSHP arrest report, Parrish was arrested for driving while intoxicated (persistent offender), driving with a revoked license, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash and no seat belt.
