Two injured in Johnson County accident

Kathy S. Randall, 71, sustained serious injuries and Alexander L. Jones, 26, of Clinton, sustained minor injuries at 6:07 a.m. Tuesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Randall was driving a 2003 Ford west on U.S. Highway 50 when she slowed to turn and was struck by Jones, who failed to slow.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt and were transported to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Clinton teen hurt avoiding animal in roadway

A 17-year-old girl from Clinton sustained a minor injury at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, she was driving a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser West on U.S. Highway 50 when she swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway. The vehicle crossed the center of the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Sedalia woman hurt in Pettis accident

Courtney L. Rodriguez, 23, of Sedalia, sustained minor injuries at 1:47 a.m. Wednesday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Rodriguez was driving a 2020 Jeep east on Route Y at Morton Road when she slid off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned.

She was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District.
