Intoxicated Bunceton driver hurt in Morgan accident

Charlie T. Lowrey, 78, of Bunceton, sustained minor injuries at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Lowery was driving a 1993 Chevrolet S10 south on state Route 5 when he crossed the centerline of the roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, collided with a utility pole and came to rest down an embankment.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

Lowrey was arrested for driving while intoxicated - chronic offender, no seat belt, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash. He was released to Mid-Mo Ambulance District and transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for treatment.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
